HOW FAR IN ADVANCE TO PLAN BEFORE THE POMP & CIRCUMSTANCE OF YOUR PARTY?
We like to have our first meeting at least 6 WEEKS prior to your event to start the discussions of:
- Guest List
- Where the party will be held
- Entertainment, Games & Activities
- General Decorations
- Party Favors
BEST TIME OF DAY FOR A PARTY BASED ON AGE
We want to make sure everyone can enjoy the pomp and circumstance of your party, we recommend to schedule the parties for young children when they are at
their best. As children grow older timing becomes less important, we recommend after naptime for toddlers and around lunchtime for children in preschool.

WHO TO INVITE
It is a good idea to make sure your child’s best friends are free prior to setting the date of your party. In terms of how much of your child’s class to invite think in terms of “all” (all the children in the class, all of the girls or all of the boys) this will minimize hurt feelings.
TO MAIL OR NOT TO MAIL
Even if your child’s school allows the distribution of invitations we suggest dropping them in the mail 3-4 weeks prior to your event. This insures the invitation arrives in the parents hands and also you will avoid hurt feelings of children not invited.
ORGANIZE THE POMP & CIRCUMSTANCE
To ensure your party feels as though it has a natural flow a good idea, regardless of the age of the child, is to pace the party. Have a plan based on the games, activities and entertainment you have lined up. For example, as guests arrive you may direct them to a craft table while you await the arrival of more guests.
TO OPEN GIFTS DURING OR AFTER THE PARTY
This one is up to your personal preference. Pro’s and Con’s exist equally for opening gifts during the party and waiting until after the guests have gone home. If you do decide to open gifts during the party a good idea is to pull names out of a hat as to who’s gift will be opened next. This will also allow time to write down the gift giver and what was given to ensure you have everything necessary for thank you notes.
ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END. MAKE SURE YOU GIVE YOUR GUESTS A PROPER GOOD-BYE
It is good practice to have your child thank each guest for coming and personally hand them a party favor as they walk out the door.
THE MOST IMPORTANT TO-DO OF ALL
Do not stress. Do have fun. Your child will have fun regardless of the size of the party as long as they see themselves celebrated in the details. That is where we come in to ensure this day is an occasion to remember filled with fun and love. Enjoy and let us do the work!
